Jihye Lee Orchestra
1h 10m
Jihye Lee—a jazz composer and bandleader based in New York—is highly regarded for her personal and adventurous storytelling approach to large-ensemble jazz. She’s written for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and been the recipient of numerous awards including the Duke Ellington Award (twice!) at Berklee College of Music. “Her music is imaginative and creative,” says Jim McNeely, master arranger and one of Lee’s great mentors, “and she’s not afraid to take some exciting chances in her writing.” See firsthand why she’s one of the great new voices in writing and arranging.
